MGIF S3 E1: Ninja Theory

MGIF S3 E1

Ninja Theory

After a year's hiatus for the work I've been undertaking with the wonderful ustwo games, Making Games Is Fun returns for a third season.

Season 1 was the online Hello Games photo album, Season 2 focused on article writing and podcasting, and now Season 3 brings the writing and the podcast together in a sort of audiobook chapter form with performed intros, so you can have all the story in one place and focus on the portraits at the same time.

After falling in love with Ninja Theory's Hellblade, released in August 2017, I sat down with Dominic Matthews, Tameem Antoniades and the face and voice of Senua herself, Melina Juergens, to discuss Hellblade's development, as well as their own development as people and as a studio. We also discuss mental health and its depiction in videogames, and why this game was so important and personally relevant to me.

Please enjoy this fantastic episode and keep your eye out for something new and a little different in the very near future.
